FAQ & Legal Information
Common questions from our patients, plus our practice's disclaimers and privacy notice.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q.What should I expect at my first visit?
Your first visit includes a review of your medical history, a physical exam, and a discussion of your symptoms and goals. If you've completed your online intake ahead of time, we'll already have your history on file, which helps us make the most of your visit.
Q.What insurance do you accept?
We work with most major insurance plans, as well as auto (no-fault) and workers' compensation claims. Because coverage varies by plan, please call our office to confirm your specific benefits before your visit.
Q.Do I need a referral?
This depends on your insurance plan. Some plans require a referral from your primary care provider before an interventional pain or orthopedic visit — check with your insurer or call our office and we can help confirm.
Q.How do I request or reschedule an appointment?
You can request an appointment online, call our office, or use the patient portal once your account is set up. Please give us as much notice as possible for cancellations or reschedules.
Q.What if I need to reach the office after a procedure?
Call our office directly with any post-procedure questions. If you're experiencing a medical emergency, do not wait for a callback — call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room.
Q.What if I disagree with a diagnosis or recommended treatment?
You're always entitled to ask questions, request a second opinion, and be an active part of decisions about your care. Let us know your concerns directly — we'd rather talk it through than have you leave with unanswered questions.
Q.How do I get a copy of my medical records?
Submit a records request through the patient portal or contact our office directly. Under HIPAA, you generally have the right to access your own medical records; we'll let you know our specific process and any applicable timeframe when you request them.
Q.What if I have a question that isn't answered here?
Call, text, or message us through the patient portal — see our Contact page for every way to reach us.
